This exhibition focuses on the shirt factory heritage of the North West. The project was developed in partnership with the Inner City Trust and the Fashion & Textile Design Centre. The history of shirt factories across our region is well known and recent activities such as the sounding of the Shirt Factory Horn during early lockdown, the murals in the Craft Village and the development of a permanent sculpture to mark those that have worked in the factories, has shown the desire to celebrate this important part of our society.
